Big increases in exports from the ten top South Korean companies have driven the rise of total exports in the third quarter due to robust chip shipments.
According to Statistics Korea on Friday, the trade concentration of the ten firms accounted for over 37-percent of the country’s total exports, up about 3-percentage points from the previous year.
It’s the highest level in six years.
Meanwhile, total exports during the July to September period rose by more than 10-percent year-on-year, exceeding over 173-billion U.S. dollars.
