South Korea’s national security adviser Cho Tae-yong said South Korea’s military will restore and enhance guard posts,.. or GPs,
that were demolished in accordance with the September 19 military agreement with the North.
Speaking in an interview with KBS on Sunday, Cho said the guard posts will now be equipped with cutting-edge scientific equipment while saying Pyongyang guard posts merely housed weapons and troops.
North Korea recently deployed forces and artillery to 11 guard posts that were either destroyed or withdrawn, prompting South Korea to announce corresponding measures in response.
