Visiting first responders working during the Chuseok holiday, President Yoon Suk Yeol on Sunday promised those in uniform that they would be fairly compensated for their service.
According to the presidential office, President Yoon visited Seoul Gwanak Police Station and Gangseo Fire Station to encourage those serving during the holiday.
At the police station, he especially emphasized protecting the public from phishing scams that mostly target vulnerable members of society.
At the fire station, he emphasized firefighters’ safety during rescue operations, while meeting with those who had been injured in the past.
At the same time, first lady Kim Keon Hee also visited Da-oom Disabled Children’s Center to meet with 32 residents there.
She helped in cleaning up, and spent time with the children.
