Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump faced another assassination attempt at his golf club on Sunday.
Trump says he’s safe and well while the suspect has been detained.

There has been an apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
The FBI said Trump wasn’t hurt in the attempt that took place when the Republican presidential candidate was playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, local time.
This was the second assassination attempt after Trump was shot and wounded in his ear during a rally in Pennsylvania, nine weeks ago.
U.S. Secret Service agents spotted the suspect as he aimed an AK-47 style rifle from bushes a few hundred yards away, and fired on him.
The suspect fled the site afterward in an SUV, leaving his firearm and some other items behind, but was eventually caught and is now in custody.
He was reportedly identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, a 58-year-old man from Hawaii, according to police sources.
On the same day, Trump sent out a campaign email to supporters saying he was “SAFE AND WELL,” adding that he would “NEVER SURRENDER.”
In July, the first assassination attempt, two days before the Republican party convention, resulted in an outpouring of support from Trump followers.
Now, with just seven weeks until the U.S. presidential election, the question is whether this attempt will create more supporters for Trump.
