The Great Train Express or GTX, which shortens the commute time to Seoul from the greater metropolitan area to around 20 minutes, will begin partial operation on Saturday.
According to the Transport Ministry, GTX-A line will open at 5:30 AM and run until around 1 AM, with the service running between Suseo in southern Seoul and Dongtan in Gyeonggi-do Province with a stop at Seongnam.
Service at Guseong station, also in Gyeonggi-do, will begin in June this year.
Trains run at intervals of around 20 minutes.
The cost of a trip from Suseo to Dongtan is 4-thousand-4-hundred-50 won or three U.S. dollars and 30 cents.
